Gearing up for springtime in Australia’s music capital, Tony “Jack the Bear” Mantz has been mastering releases for The Fuzzbirds, Blind Munkee, Cave of the Swallows, Dirty Radio, Jonesez, Brackets, Thrall, Larry K (mixed by James Frew), Bitter Sweet Kicks, The Irresponsibles, Radio Ink, Rainshadow, Burgworth, The Sunny Days, The Hired Guns, new Jessica Mauboy single (remixed by US producer Rac), a live album for Autumn Gray (Canada) complete with 40 piece symphony orchestra and mixed by Jimi Maroudas, and new album for Jeff lang including a bonus disc of live tracks and rarities.
Projects mastered by Adam Dempsey include Fish Boast of Fishing (Peter Knight, recorded by Robin Gray at Allan Eaton studio and mixed by Myles Mumford), Vague Cuts (mixed by Jez Giddings at Hothouse), Lanrae, The Audient, Zac Brennan, singles for The Fearless Vampire Killers, Butcher Blades/, Pony Face, debut EP for Broadway Sounds, the latest Going Down Swinging compilation, and a new single for both CD and 10 inch vinyl for Heirs (mixed by Neil Thomason at Head Gap).
The team also sends props to Sloth for re-capping the PSU’s for the mastering-modded Chandler LTD-2’s.

Following on from decades of CD Mastering in Melbourne, the current Deluxe Mastering studios recently marked five years in operation. How did we celebrate? By remaining bunkered down at “work”, mastering and relishing more great music:
